有没有听过,如果没到过大屿山(Lantau Island),就不算去过香港了!
I always been longing to visit the Buddha located at Lantau Island! My previous HK trip wasn't able to make it there, so i insisted on this round!
The red circled is the location of Lantau Island, you can reach there easily by MTR! Love the MTR system of HongKong, wish KL is so convenient too.
There's a small village and Buddha to visit after taking the cable car up to the the top.
I really enjoyed the 5.7km cable car, there's two type of cable car one is normal, the other one is crystal!
To really enjoy the view, take the crystal one. Its all transparent and you can see through it!.
Here our journey goes:
Starting point |
Wheee, starting from seeing grass |
Tada, see the sea! |
Once you touch down on the village, you can walk around. There's a starbucks over there too! My favourite store would be the 招财猫 shop, its origin from Japan but the cat is extremely cute!!!
Love the lucky cat
Once you done the sight seeing, dont forget the shopping spree. HongKong is a shopping heaven. Before you reach the cable car to Ngong Ping 360, you defnitely passby a huge shopping mall. That's a must go place- City Gate!
City Gate, the best place to shoppppppppppppp!
Unable to go to every shop, but there's a few brand that;s really worth visiting - IT Outlet, Ralph Lauren, Coach, The body Shop, etc etc....
Look at what we got!
Of course, this is not just two person shopping bag ;p |
View from City Gate |
Do estimate a full half day for Ngong Ping 360 and City Gate, especially if you really want to shop. Our initial plan was only morning in Ngong Ping and leave City Gate before the day ends. Somehow, we lose control in our shopping spree..
Next:- 赤柱/浅水湾/星光大道
